The information we collect: We collect and process your personal data mainly to contact you to keep you up to date with your learning progress and when new courses have arrived on our app, and delivering services accordingly. For this purpose, we will collect contact details, including your name, email, telephone number, and your school of employment.
We collect information directly from you where you provide us with your personal details. Where possible, we will inform you what information you are required to provide to us and what information is optional.
Website usage information may be collected using “cookies” which allows us to collect standard internet visitor usage information.
Confidentiality: Ukuvuna Online respects customer privacy and the privacy of those visiting our website and downloading our app. We undertake to protect our customers’ and users’ confidentiality, including all personal information supplied in contracting with us for services. We undertake not to sell your personal information to third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
Use of personal data: Your personal data will only be used to communicate your learning progress, inform you of new additions to the course materials, and send our newsletters. However, Ukuvuna will provide you with an option within every communication to opt out of receiving any communications of this nature. Any information Ukuvuna collects from you through correspondence with us, whether via email, telephonically or by written letter, will only be used to address the matters within that correspondence. Suppose this requires referring such correspondence within or Ukuvuna to a third party to ensure customer service. In that case, your personal information will only be disclosed to the point necessary to address your query or concerns and will otherwise be kept confidential. We may disclose your personal information, CPTD points allocation, and completed courses to SACE, should your portfolio need updating.
